Placement Exam
WMSA places students based on readiness, not just grade level. Our placement assessment helps us understand each student's current skills so we can provide the right level of challenge and support.
Purpose of Placement
The placement exam allows us to match each student with the appropriate course level. This ensures students are appropriately challenged without being overwhelmed, and helps us identify any areas where additional support may be beneficial.
Placement is especially important for mathematics, where students progress through a structured pathway based on demonstrated readiness.

How Results Are Used
Placement results help us determine the appropriate course levels for each student, particularly in mathematics. Results also inform our understanding of each student's strengths and areas for growth.
The placement exam is not used as an admissions filter. It is a diagnostic tool to ensure proper course placement.
